Coding is forever evolving like healthcare itself. Keeping up with changes can sometimes feel like a never-ending job on its own. This webinar series will focus on the nitty gritty of a few high-profile diagnoses as well as a few that fly inconspicuously under the radar. Regardless how the diagnosis presents itself, correctly coding them can have lasting impact on patients and the care they receive. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to break down the coding guidelines for each diagnosis, review typical clinical indicators and discuss how documentation brings it all together.

Session 5: Adverse Events + Poisonings
1. Differentiate between definitions for adverse events and poisonings
2. Follow specific coding guidance as it relates to underdosing
3. Apply correct coding to various scenarios related to poisonings
