Practices that Foster Resilience
Carrie Barron, MD, Director of Creativity for Resilience, Dell Medical School and guest speaker Ann Papoulis, Dancer, Choreographer, Composer and Painter

The year 2020 brought about many changes. With the rapid rate of change and stress related to uncertainty one can easily lose sight of the good things and just how strong and amazingly adaptable people can be. With the passing of time, some stability begins to set in, and one can again focus on creating supportive relationships and optimizing well-being. By exploring practices that foster resilience and well-being, healthcare workers will be better prepared to care for patients and families, co-workers and themselves in the face of change. In this pre-recorded webinar, the speakers share key insights and personal experiences from studying human behavior and well-being. Creative, actionable tips and ideas for better self-management during periods of rapid change and high stress are provided.

  • Describe behaviors that promote individual resilience.
  • Discuss the role of habit in creating a resilience practice.
  • Review the role of supportive relationships in well-being.
